Punta del Este, Uraguay

Primarily a resort town for those from Montivideo or Buenos Aires it lies on a narrow strip of land with beaches on both side of this long peninsula.

There is not much to do in terms of excursions but more just a walk around place. We walked down a busy boardwalk after we left the port busy with private boats and locals where the tender dropped us off. We walked a mile or more until we got to street #31 then crossed the two blocks over to the other side of the peninsula and walked to the hand for a picture. On the way back we stopped at a restaurant on the beach but they were still serving breakfast and we wanted lunch so off we went.
